Ministry Teams
Ministry Teams are a formalized way of pairing our talents and skills with the responsibilities/tasks needed to support TCCs internal functions. These ministries are where the rubber meets the road and how we get things accomplished.
Adult Education Ministry Team Leader: Tom Richardson
Plan, coordinate and carry out educational programs for adults. This may include Sunday School, T.E.A.M. Classes (Teaching and Equipping Adults for Ministry), Bible Studies, The Bethel Bible Study Series, New Members classes, etc.
Benevolence Ministry Team Leader: Karen Bieker
To make Christ more visible in our community and strengthen His church by providing support to persons in the congregation and community through prayer, encouragement, financial resources and Christian volunteer service opportunities. We will endeavor to form partnerships with individuals and organizations in order to offer information and provide referrals for assistance where appropriate.
Building & Grounds Ministry Team Leader: Larry Frank
Plan, coordinate and provide for maintenance and repair of all church buildings, and oversee the janitorial services.
Children's Ministry Team Leader: Debbie Csergei
Plan, coordinate and carryout ministries and programs for children age 2 through grade 5. This may include such programs as Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, Pioneer Clubs, camps, etc.
Communications Ministry Team Leader: Teresa Rankin
To facilitate clear communication between Staff, Elders, and Ministry Team Leaders. To assist TCC in accomplishing its mission by communicating with the congregation and the surrounding communities.
Computer Team Leader: Mark Rust
Cross Cultural Ministry Team Leader: Mary Baron
Provide support for missionaries and agencies supported by TCC, and provide promotion and education for missions within the congregation.
Fine Arts Ministry Team Leader: Vacant
Plan, coordinate and carry out all aspects of the church music program and public worship. This may include music (choirs, instrumentals, worship leading, etc.), special events, ushering, technical support, communion preparation and serving, flowers, baptismal maintenance, etc.
Higher Education Ministry Team Leader: Dale Kimball
Provide support for colleges and seminaries supported by TCC; administer scholarships; promote recruitment for education for professional ministry, etc.
Kitchen Services Ministry Team Leader: Loretta Richardson
Plan, coordinate and carry out ministries that provide support and nurture for the congregation such as church social and fellowship functions. This may include weddings, funeral meals and support, vans and transportation services, parking attendants, rosebuds for new babies, baby recognition, Friendship Banquet, SonRise Café, All-Church Picnic, Family-Night Dinners, ect.
Library Ministry Team Leader: vacant
Plan, coordinate and provide for functioning of the church library.
Men's Ministry Team Leader: Rick Hoggan
Plan, coordinate and carry out the Congregation's ministry for men. This may include the Men's Retreat, special events for men, promoting men's small groups, providing resources for men, etc.
Nursery and Toddler Ministry Team Leader: Merrill Rust & Jan Delany
Plan, coordinate and carry out the ministry of the nursery and toddler areas. This will include the staffing by both volunteers and paid staff.
Prayer Ministry Team Leader: Trudi Sang
Recreation Ministry Team Leader: Nathan Luke
Plan, coordinate and carry out recreational programs consistent with the mission of the Congregation and goals set forth.
Regional Ministry Team Leader: Cheryl Clementson
Provide support for local benevolent and educational ministries and organizations.
Senior Adult Ministry Team Leader: Hunt & Diana Brimhall
Plan, coordinate and carry out the Congregation's ministry for Senior Adults. This may include planning trips, social functions and special events, shepherding for shut-ins, encouraging seniors in service and ministry, meeting special needs, providing resources, etc.
Singles Ministry Team Leader: Vacant
Plan, coordinate and carry out the Congregation's ministry for single adults. This may include planning educational and social opportunities, providing resources, meeting special needs, etc.
Small Groups Ministry Team Leader: Jim Clauss
Plan, coordinate and carry out the adult small group ministry of the church. This may include starting and maintaining groups, training leaders, promoting the concept of small groups within the entire church, etc.
Stephens Ministry Team Leader: Janice Powell
Stephen Ministers are trained, caring, volunteer Christian lay people who are available to listen, to support and to be a friend to those experiencing the normal stresses and crises of life. They are not counselors. Their role is to listen and care. Grief, divorce, job loss, re-location, drug abuse, hospitalization, illness, loneliness, disability, family problems, pregnancy and spiritual needs – crisis like these can overwhelm us. Stephen Ministers provide one-on-one ongoing Christian care in a strictly confidential manner to those in need of support and encouragement. What a care receiver tells a Stephen Minister is kept confidential. There are no cold calls made. A Stephen Minister is assigned only to people who agree to receive a Stephen Minister. Men are assigned to men and women are assigned to women. If either you or someone you know would like a Stephen Minister’s help, call the church office at 503-639-5713.
Stewardship Ministry Team Leader: Dale Kimball
Compile and oversee the budget as provided by the Elders, and shall promote concepts of biblical stewardship within the Congregation. The Chair of the Congregation shall serve as the Ministry Team Leader of this ministry team, which will also be comprised of the current Vice Chair of the Congregation, Treasurer, Senior Minister and two members at large.
Transportation Ministry Team Leader: Ron Groeger
Plan, coordinate and provide for church vehicle maintenance, insurance, equipment, etc. May also provide for reservations and scheduling of church vehicles.
Women's Ministry Team Leader: Marcia Palmer & Wendy White
Plan, coordinate and carry out the Congregation's ministry for women. This may include the Women's Retreat, All-Daughter banquet, MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), special events for women, promoting women's small groups, providing resources for women, etc.
Youth Ministry Team Leader: Trudi Sang
Plan, coordinate and carry out ministries and programs for youth in Grade 6 through College/Career. This may include various educational, social and service projects and programs.
An individual does not need to be a member of the congregation to be a ministry team participant unless otherwise required by the specific position. |
